JJ and Tanner playing

ONe day after school, JJ brought home a friend from 1st grade....Tanner.  We go to church with Tanner and these boys both think they are big and tough bull riders!   They had a fun afternoon playing and then ate dinner and went to church together!

Yes it was January....yes they were wearing shorts! JJ's shorts!  It was at least 60 degrees!

Snowmen without snow!

Hannalee was supposed to decorate a piece of paper cut out like a snowman.  Dusty had done this with his class and so we went to Rainbow Lane to make Hannalee's preK project!

We used shaving cream and mixed it with GLUE!  It make the shaving cream stay fluffy....even after it dried!!! Too fun!    JJ made one too just for fun!!

I have a few pictures of Hannalee playing at Rainbow Lane......mainly because on party days its so crazy I have to be a teacher and not a mom taking pictures! So here's a few memories!  I love you, Hannalee! I'm glad you get to go with me to work almost every day and that I get to be your teacher!

100th Day of School

JJ, Hannalee and Dusty all celebrated the 100th Day of School this week!

Jj took 100 pieces of candy to share and wrote a story about what he would do if he $100!!

This is what it says, and I quote:

"If I had a $100 dolrs, I would bull ride and go to the rodeo and wrk hord.  I wont $100!!!"

And then Hannalee had to actually count out her 100 things for homework and take those to school. She of course chose M&M's!!  WE gave her a 100's chart to put one M&M and in each square to help her keep  track.  Her and her daddy did a good job!  

And if Hannalee had $100 dollars she would buy a puppy!

And then Mr. Cloud was supposed to dress up like he was 100 years old!!! He left the house and we thought he just looked dressed up for church or something.  JJ thought he looked like Mr Woodson, the principal!  But-- add an old pair of glasses and a cane to walk with.....he looked pretty old!!!  All of the kids dressed up like they were 100 years old! Good job, honey!!  

The Water Zoo

The New indoor WaterZoo was a blast!  

We had owner passes that  had been given to papa John...it was for 3 free adults and 3 free kids! So we invited Aiden Whinery and Miss Kristi to go with us!  We even took the kids out of school on a Friday to get there just a little bit early!  We did great! We had two hours non stop of just playing all over!  No lines.....it wasn't busy at all!

Miss Kristi and I hadn't planned on getting in the water....at all!!!!

But after an hour and some begging and pleading.....Kristi was going to go down the water slide with Hannalee......IN HER CLOTHES!  She didn't bring a swimsuit.  I told her I had NO PLANS of getting in the water!  But I did throw my swimsuit in ...just in case!

So I went and got changed ......... I wasn't going to let her get wet in clothes with MY KID! So there I am....going down these waterslides with the kids...Hannalee decided NOT to go! The boys were still glad I got in with them.  They had been going by themselves but having a mom along made it ......I dunno--funnier!!

We had a great time!  And in the end....Miss Kristi did get in the water.....in her clothes!!!!  We floated around the lazy river ....twice...in her clothes....long pants and all!!! We were quite the sight I'm sure! We giggled and laughed and laughed!  And then realized it was going to be FREEZING outside when we got in the car.  We warmed up quickly!!

A Few January pics

The box is intended to pick up any toys left laying around and they would have to 

"pull a chore stick" to get a toy back out of the box.  Well........you see what's in my box!

There was a basketball tournament at Merritt tonight.  For the championship.

We knew it was going to be crowded and Miss Priss doesn't sit still....for nothing!

So...I gave her a choice....go to the game....OR....go get your fingernails painted!

You see the choice.  It was nails and a Happy Meal kind of night!  Just us  girls...

and watched the Miss American pageant!  Thanks for staying home with me Hannalee!

The Flu

It has hit our house! Waaaaaaaaaaa!  

Three VERY, VERY EXPENSIVE boxes of Tamiflu and a box 

of "zofran" or something (?) for tummy aches.

THAT's what we've been doing this week.....yuck!

January 6 Ice Cream

JJ's been begging (in the middle of winter!) to go to Braums....

So today...it was "warm" at 54 degrees we hopped in the car and went.  Aiden was outside playing too so we invited him to come along with us!!  

JJ had on "loungy" pajama pants and no one but Hannalee really even wanted to get OUT of the car and actually eat IN Braums.  I was NOT allowing them to eat ice cream in my car...so to Rainbow Lane we went.  It was down the street!

Hannalee got invited to a 5 year olds birthday party in Clinton at the new indoor, Water Zoo Park.

This water slide started UPSTAIRS on an "island deck" and ended up downstairs!

January 4

My sweet girl....,..

Dusty and I have been at my doctor in OKC today....haven't seen the kids since 7:30 this morning!  JJ is spending the night with his cowboy buddy Tanner!  So Hannalee gets to lay in bed with me for a bit!  I just made a deal with her....she has to work more on learning her letters and then I'll take her to the nail salon, with a friend, to get nails and toes done!!!  She gets to get her nails painted sometimes!  But once she learns most (all!) of her her letters and sounds she can get a pedicure in the kids little "bear chair" as her treat!  

So this is Hannalee laying in bed with me...she's playing on the ipad and I'm blogging and watching Duck Dynasty, and Dusty is in the office!  We are all "happy, happy, happy!!!"

January 2 JJ's 7th Birthday

My baby boy turned 7 today!  I think he's worn out!  He had a good day!  Thanks to having good friends and a LOT of cousins and family....there's always a crowd for a party!!  He's got a sweet heart. A kind disposition.  A clever mind.  And a great sense of humor! I love him!!! 

 

 

 

We gave JJ 2 Wiggle Scooters...because 1 is no fun! :)

January 1

Today is a new year!  

Today is the first day of a new year but it is also the the last day that JJ will be a 6 year old!  OH ME! Where did the time go? Tomorrow is his 7th birthday.  He wants a "bull riding" cake!  A little dirt for icing and a bull on top with a cowboy!   I know you're surprised after all of our "mutton bustin" days.  Two more rounds of that....hopefully just ONE of them will be fun...and not get knocked off or smashed into a fence or crushed under the sheep....wait....maybe we WON'T do that anymore!  

JJ wanted his buddy Collin to spend the night tonight....they are the "gold miners."  But I told them there could not be any water in the wash out and sluice box today...not with a windchill at 12 degrees!  But a little digging in the snow made them happy!  

Love you JJ!   Thanks for being a neat kid...you are thoughtful, sweet, silly, smart, kind hearted, a hard worker, and clever!  We love you!
